- 2 of whole guapote fish, cleaned
- to taste of salt
- to taste of pepper
- 1 cup of flour
- plenty of oil, for frying
- to taste of lime, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the fish, rinse the guapote in cold water, making sure it’s well cleaned inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels.
- Make cuts, with a sharp knife, make 3 to 4 cuts on each side of the fish.
- Season, season the fish with salt and pepper, inside and out.
- Flour it, coat the fish with flour, shaking off the excess.
- Heat the oil, heat plenty of oil in a pot or deep skillet.
- Fry, submerge the fish in the hot oil and fry until evenly golden on both sides.
- Drain, remove and let drain on paper towels.
- Serve, serve hot, with lime juice on top.
